Our Brand
NIICO
Timeless Design. Exceptional Craftsmanship. Meticulous Execution.
Millwork built the couture way - measured with precision, engineered and shaped by artisans and installed as a single, finished statement piece.
01
The space, understood before it's styled
Design
Colour, hardware, door profiles are all secondary. The real work begins with how a space is lived in - the movement through it, the rituals it holds, the way it should feel at 7am and at 9pm.
At NIICO, design starts there. We shape the space around your lifestyle first, then build the cabinetry and millwork to serve it, never the reverse.
What guides every design
Intentional Layout
Every space is planned around how it's actually used, long before finishes enter the conversation. We map movement, storage, and daily ritual first, so the layout serves your lifestyle rather than the other way around. Once that foundation is set, the aesthetic decisions come into play.
Precision on Site
Measurements are taken with exacting care, so the design holds true from drawing to install. Every wall, corner, and dimension is verified on-site before production begins, eliminating costly surprises later. It's this discipline that lets ambitious designs come to life exactly as envisioned.
Your Investment
Your investment is respected, and every material choice reflects it, without compromising the vision. We draw on deep knowledge of millwork materials and construction to find the right balance of quality and cost. The result is a space that feels elevated at every price point.

02
Precision, in the making
Build
Every cabinet is built to order in our Toronto facility, using a proprietary process prized for its durability. This finish takes time with a series of careful stages, but it is precisely what sets NIICO apart. Whether high gloss, matte, or a soft touch sheen, every finish is executed precisely a very few in the industry can match.
Production moves through three stages:
Materials
Cabinet carcases are crafted from durable 19mm designer TFL, with plywood interiors or wood veneer options available. Face materials are thoughtfully selected to suit the unique requirements of your project. For custom-ordered materials, please allow an additional four to six weeks for production and delivery. We plan for these lead times early in the process to ensure your project stays on schedule.
Custom Components
Beyond standard cabinetry, specialty pieces are designed and built entirely in-house — giving us full control over fit, function, and finish, down to the smallest detail.
Finishing
Your chosen colour or stain is meticulously refined through sampling until every detail is exactly right. Each finish is then applied in our 10,000-square-foot paint shop, a fully pressurized, dust-free, positive-air environment designed to provide exceptional control and consistency. Through our proprietary baking and curing process, we invest the necessary time and precision to create a finish that is exceptionally durable, refined, and built to stand the test of time.
Final Assembly
Once finishing is complete, every component is precisely fitted, staged, and prepared for installation. This is our final quality checkpoint before your millwork leaves our hands.

03
Vision, realized
Install
This is where planning, precision, and craftsmanship converge. Our in-house installation team brings every detail together on-site, exactly as envisioned. With the walls prepared in advance with a single coat of paint, the millwork takes centre stage, installed with care, precision, and confidence.
Finishing Touches
Once cabinetry is installed, countertops are templated, fabricated, and fitted with precision If your stone counter tops are sourced from an outside provider, this stage carries an additional lead time, but if you have chosen our in-house stone fabricator, they are fitted immediately after the installation is completed.
Hardware Integration
Handles are installed on-site during the installation. They are usually the last thing to be installed, and it is always based on the designer's or the homeowner's preference. Flush-mounted, inset, or concealed hardware is integrated during the manufacturing process, ensuring a seamless finish.

04
What happens after the estimate
Approvals & Timelines
Once your estimate is finalized and approved, the design phase begins, where drawings are developed, materials and colours are selected, and every detail refined. The following must be signed off before production can begin.

1. Design Stage
Appliance List
Final specifications confirmed and signed. This ensures every cabinet dimension aligns precisely with your chosen appliances, avoiding costly adjustments later.
Drawings
All revisions completed, checked, and initialed on every page. This final review is your opportunity to confirm every detail before production begins.
Materials
All millwork materials confirmed and signed, including countertop thickness, overhangs, and any special mouldings. Every specification is locked in to ensure a flawless, cohesive result.
Door Profiles
Confirmed, approved, and signed. This detail defines the character of your cabinetry, so precision here is essential.
Colour Samples / Finishes
Confirmed and signed. Given the depth of our finishing process, this step deserves careful consideration before moving forward.
Financial Package
Millwork cost accepted; budget quote, sales contract, and invoice summary all approved and signed. This finalizes the scope and investment for your project. Deposit payments are made to NIICO Millwork Group. This confirms your place in our production schedule.

2. Production Stage
With all the approvals and documents in place, production begins. Our timeline is typically 8 to 12 weeks in production covering:
- Material selection, hardware and specialty components ordered from our suppliers.
- Plans finalized in detail for engineering and machining.
- Cabinet production begins.
- Finishing (Primarily painted components).
- Final assembly.
Craftsmanship of this calibre cannot be hurried. Every stage is given the time precision demands, because rushing invites errors on-site and compromises the very quality you've chosen NIICO for.
Delays at this stage will affect both production and installation timelines.
We welcome changes during the design phase. Once pre-production approval is complete, any further additions or changes are handled separately and assessed for availability, potential timeline and cost impact.

3. Installation Stage
The final moment is where your vision becomes reality. Every detail of your millwork is brought together and finished with intention, transforming the drawings into a space that is uniquely yours. Our commitment to client care continues through a full, detailed walkthrough with the designer and client or contractor, ensuring every element is reviewed and completed to our exacting standards.
At NIICO, we believe exceptional millwork is about more than what you see, It's about the experience behind it. We stand behind every step of our process, with a commitment to precision, care, and a seamless experience from start to finish.
Our goal is simple: your absolute satisfaction, every project, every time, because your project deserves nothing less.

05
A Different Kind of Craft
Most of a home is built in place, walls framed, floors laid, systems wired, using materials sized to fit a range of spaces. Cabinetry works differently.
Every piece of NIICO begins away from your home, in our Toronto facility, shaped specifically for your space alone. Nothing is generic; nothing is adjusted on the fly. Precise measurements, detailed drawings, and skilled construction happen long before installation day, so what arrives isn't a component to be fitted, but a finished piece of art made to belong in your space alone. There will be no others like yours.
It is this distinction that sets our cabinetry apart: the highest standards, crafted around you.
